Regions EMS is excited to announce the selection of Dr. Abe Campos as our EMS fellow for the academic year 2017-2018. Dr. Campos received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Luther College and his medical degree from the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. Currently, Dr. Campos is finishing his final year of residency at the University of Nebraska Emergency Medicine Residency in Omaha, NE. He has participated in research and won first place at the Midwest Regional Anesthesia Resident Conference Poster competition. Dr. Campos was highly recruited from a competitive field of applicants to our ACGME accredited EMS Fellowship. He will begin his fellowship at Regions in July 2017.
HealthPartners Institute for Medical Education/Regions Hospital offers an EMS fellowship which was the first EMS fellowship accredited by the ACGME in the State of Minnesota. Past graduates of our fellowship serve in EMS leadership roles both locally and nationally. Our fellowship has a rolling application period with applications typically being received in August and September.
